- Collector Series Lapel Pins! The Lassen Loomis Museum Association is offering the first collector pin in its “Wilderness Series”. In May 2005 the “BLACK BEAR”, the first image of the Wilderness Series pins will be available. Black bears have resided in Lassen Volcanic National Park since before man settled these mountainous lands. 75% of Lassen Volcanic National Park is designated “Wilderness”. The black bear pin represents awareness of our fragile wilderness lands, the balance needed to sustain the delicate ecosystem here at Lassen Volcanic National Park. - Fun new Products! Take a look. Loomis Museum opens Memorial Day Weekend. Come visit us and see the exciting new educational gifts we are offering this year. From fragrant soybean candles to junior ranger t-shirts made from recycled cotton. We’ve brought in custom made soaps, sachets and teas. Recycled glass made into colorful suncatchers and candle holders shine bright. A game of bingo, checkers, dominoes or an all time favorite of Tic-Tac-Toe can be found in our Loomis Museum bookstore. You’ll be amazed at how many interesting, beautiful and fun items we’ve added.
- Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Facility Underway! Construction begins on Lassen Volcanic National Park’s Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Facility in the spring of 2005. The new facility will replace the Chalet and provide year-round services including visitor orientation and education, interpretive exhibits, concession food services with indoor and outdoor dinning, gift sales, ranger station, auditorium with a new Park movie and a Lassen Loomis Museum Association bookstore.
- The Lassen Loomis Museum Association business office is located in the town of Mineral at Park Headquarters. Our Spring and Summer office hours are: Tuesday through Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm.
